Weave has been developed at the Institute for Visualization and Perception Research (IVPR) of the University of Massachusetts Lowell in partnership with the Open Indicators Consortium, a national collaborative of public and nonprofit organizations working to improve not just access to more and higher quality data but also access to free visual analytics software.
The IVPR is working with numerous small and large organizations in their adopting and using Weave for data analysis, visualization, and forecasting, and in their developing both internal and public Weave-based web sites.
Our goals are to especially enable non-profits and other small groups to use Weave to share and disseminate data, visualizations, and stories on their web pages, in grant writing, and most importantly to help them effect social change.
